The ALM provides multiple tools for use by schools to support integration of content literacy into classroom instruction:

  • Classroom Observation Tools
  • Teacher and Student Survey Tools
  • Planning and Refinement Protocols

Each category of tool provides different support for a holistic, school-wide approach to teaching and learning. The goal is to support teachers and administrators in designing and implementing instruction that uses research-inform practices and is learner-driven. This kind of instructional focus takes time and intentional supports to integrate into a school’s culture.

These tools are used very intentionally during CTL’s work with a school to develop safe learning environments for students, teachers, and administrators.
