Where families read, make, play, and learn- together.

The Family Learning Studio is CTL’s way to connect directly with families through hands-on, joyful learning experiences that bring our Artful Reading on the Go and Procedural Fluency on the Go programming to life. We design family engagement that is welcoming, practical, and easy to use at home, so families feel confident supporting learning every day.

What is the Family Learning Studio?

A family-centered learning experience, built around real materials families can use immediately.

In the Studio, families:

  • experience a guided “try-it” session using CTL’s take-home kits,
  • practice simple routines that fit real schedules (5–15 minute options),
  • leave with clear next steps and tools that make learning feel doable and fun.
Solve problems by adding or subtracting a group to make the problem easier.
games provide opportunity for targeted practice and student engagement

What makes the Family Learning Studio different

Designed for real family life. Built for lasting impact.

  • Families try the activities together—no prior training required.
  • 5–15 minute experiences that fit into busy schedules.
  • Families leave with tools and routines they can repeat.
  • Children learn, caregivers learn, and everyone practices together (PACT).
  • Built to travel—schools, libraries, community centers, and partner events.

Partner with CTL

We co-design Family Learning Studio programming with districts and community partners.

Possible partnership formats:

  • School-based Family Night Series (3–5 sessions; alternating literacy and math)
  • Library or Community Pop-Ups (drop-in Studio stations)
  • Family Learning Launch Kits (Studio + take-home materials + follow-up supports)
  • Train-the-Facilitator support for school and community staff to run Studio routines locally

Outcomes partners can expect

  • stronger family confidence in supporting learning at home
  • increased participation through low-barrier, high-joy events
  • a repeatable model that supports whole-family literacy learning (adult + child + PACT)
