CTL’s Artful Reading (AR) on the Go supports literacy in the home by providing families with carefully crafted, arts-integrated literacy experiences that promote academic and social emotional learning. The at-home learning experiences help children build developmentally-appropriate literacy skills and a library of educational resources. For the caregiver, the guidebook provides the supports for meaningful and engaging conversations around a picture-book theme. As a result, families are empowered and students are successful.

AR on the GO, Grades K-8

AR on the Go prepares students for developmentally appropriate and fundamental academic behaviors through reading, writing, speaking, listening, and vocabulary activities. Expertly designed tasks seamlessly integrate the arts while providing opportunities for social-emotional learning and post-secondary success skill exploration.

The provided activity cards will take the caregiver step-by-step through every activity. The welcome card provides a list of the activities, provided materials, and important words that will be explored throughout the activities. Each activity card helps the caregiver prepare for the activity with a “Before You Begin” section, materials needed, and a time indicator, so you’ll know how much time you’ll need.

Additionally, informational resources are provided for your child to make text-to-self and text-to-world connections.
