Innovative Approaches to Literacy with Russellville Independent Schools
CTL is a partner with Russellville Independent Schools as part of the Innovative Approaches to Literacy (IAL) grant. The goals for the partnership include integrating Artful Reading, an arts infused literacy model, at the preschool level and middle school grades. The program utilizes research informed instructional practices for early childhood settings and adolescent learners.
Over the course of 3 years, preschool teachers and STEAM middle grades teachers will receive Artful Reading modules and use those as a resource to engage in professional learning, including job-embedded coaching, co-teaching, classroom observations and feedback, and individual needs-based mentoring.
