CONTENT LITERACY CONSULTANT

Collaborative for Teaching and Learning

The Collaborative for Teaching and Learning (CTL), a non-profit Louisville-based education agency, is seeking candidates for part-time Content Literacy Consultant positions.  The candidate must have:

    • Master’s degree, and a proven record of success as a teacher in elementary, middle and/or high school classrooms
    • Certification in a core academic discipline; Social Studies or Science will be given preference
    • Experience in creating high-quality, student-centered teaching and learning environments in both classroom and professional development settings
    • Demonstrated leadership in working with educators to improve classroom practice
    • Applied understanding of current educational research about best practices as it pertains to content literacy 
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Commitment to collaboration and teamwork in planning and development
    • Personal commitment to self-reflective practice and on-going professional development

Candidates with leadership experience at the team, departmental, building, or district level are strongly encouraged to apply.  Some statewide travel will be required.

Screening of candidates will begin after October 1, 2024, and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary commensurate with experience.
