Provision of Graduate Credit for CTL Programs

The University of Louisville College of Education and Human Development is granting graduate-level credit to teachers participating in the five-year federally funded Striving Readers adolescent literacy project.

From 1999 to 2002, the University of Louisville School of Education provided graduate-level credit for teachers enrolled in CTL's Accelerated Schools Process, Different Ways of Knowing (DWoK) or Standards-Based Teaching and Learning services, as part of their school-wide professional development.

CTL Work to Improve New Teacher Instruction 

From 1996-1998, CTL worked with the University of Louisville School of Education to infuse its education methods courses with best practices aimed at teaching new teachers how to implement student-centered, constructivist practices to reach and teach all learners, regardless of socioeconomic or racial background, or perceived learning abilities.
